Scott King : Painter extraordinaire
Scott King was born in Cleveland, OH in 1981. He is a painter and piano player based out of Planet Earth. This is largely due to the fact that this is the only currently known planet that he can survive on. His work varies from series to series, but almost always has a strong musically expressionist theme underlying it. His inspiration is largely drawn from prolific jazz albums, horrific acts of humanity, and dirty martinis. He bases most of his color theory off of Monet’s palette and often over utilizes the theories of Gestalt within his composition. Since moving to Denver in 2010, his murals have taken on more urban characteristics, and his morals have taken on more deranged characteristics. His obsession with automatic writing and reed and brass instruments has proven useful in his most recent series titled “BopLiCity”. He is also looking forward to the wisdom that comes with age in hopes that it will lend a hand in writing a more serious Artist Bio.
“The only thing I like more than talking about art is yelling at people that constantly talk about art”
